Our company traces its roots in the residential construction business to Southern California, beginning over 40 years ago. During the 1980's, a young generation of family builders emerged in Fairfield County, Connecticut, remodeling and creating beautiful New England homes. Moving back across the country to the Rocky Mountains, the company adopted the Bitterroot name from the area of southwestern Montana where many logcrafters and timberwrights work building unique custom designed structures for elegant mountain resort homes.
Today Bitterroot Builders is led by a young group of dedicated and experienced craftsman and builders. Together they have been building homes in the Rocky Mountains for over 10 years and have accumulated invaluable experience in working with the unique aspects of construction at high altitudes. In addition to the architectural and stylistic considerations, mountain projects bring many challenges, including snow loads, seismic engineering, heating and insulation solutions. The Bitterroot Team is experienced in all of these aspects and bring that certainty to each new project. |
